주어로 쓸 때에는 동명사 쓸기

 

Studying English is fun.

 

My dream is to help other people.

 

I like to take a trip.

 

동명사를 목적어로 취하는 동사 (중단, 꺼림, 부인, 피함 등의 의미)

stop, consider, mind, give up, avoid, quit, enjoy, finish

 

부정사(결심, 계획, 의도, 기대 등의 의미)

decide, expect, mean, hope, want, afford, prepare

 

둘 다 목적어 (감정 등의 의미)

love, hate, like, start, begin

 

Reading books is one of my hobbies.

I enjoy going on class field trips.

My plan is to watch a concert next week.

She expected to get higher on her test.

Having a good breakfast is important to me.

My goal is to become a well-known chef.

I can't afford to upgrade my computer.

The assignment is to find role models for young people.

Talking in the library disturbs other students.

 

to 부정사의 여러 용법

She has a report to finish.

He studies hard to get good grades.

 

형용사적 용법 (~할, ~해야 할)

참석할 회의 = a meeting to attend

He doesn't have time to exercise.

The group has a lot of issues to talk about.

 

부사적 용법 (~하기 위해) = in order to 로 대체 가능

I go to parks to hang out with my friends.

She takes the subway in order to avoid the rush hour traffic.

3. People don't get many chances to know about their neighbors.

4. She stayed up last night to prepare for an exam.
